Piano, through the structure of songs
Drop in a MIDI file or a score, or pick a tune from the library. Wolfi maps it out (chords, form, tricky passages) and prepares a half-hour session for each day, until you can play it from memory.
No sign-up needed: pick a song and start playing.
A MIDI file, a MusicXML score (MuseScore's export) or a tune from the royalty-free library.
Key, chord chart, form (A A B A…), recurring sections and tricky passages: you see how the song is built before you play a single note.
Listen, lay down the chords, each hand phrase by phrase, then both hands in one go. Half an hour, and the next day opens tomorrow.
Chords, form and sections in color: you always know where you are.
Based on how hard the song really is: more time for the busy passages, less for what comes back.
Notes fall towards their keys, the score scrolls and the keyboard lights up what to play.
Plug in your digital piano: Wolfi listens and tells you what's right and what still needs work.
Phrase by phrase, yesterday's recap, passages played from memory: you remember what you understand.
The next day opens tomorrow: your memory keeps working while you rest.
The library and your first song are free. Premium opens every song you want to learn.

Hi, I'm Julien.
Software development and the piano are my two passions. Wolfi was born where they meet: a tool I first wrote for myself, to learn my songs by understanding how they're built rather than repeating them note by note.
Wolfi is an independent project that I use at the piano every day. Your feedback helps it grow.
No. The on-screen piano, the falling notes and the score all work without one, and you can even tap the notes on the screen. With a MIDI keyboard plugged in (Chrome or Edge on a computer, Chrome on an Android tablet), Wolfi also listens to what you play and tells you what's right.
Many scores exist in MusicXML: in MuseScore, File › Export. A MIDI file works too. Otherwise, start with the free library.
From someone who knows their first chords to someone coming back to the piano after years: the program adapts to how hard the song really is.
In your browser, on a computer, tablet or phone, with nothing to install. Best of all: a tablet on the music stand.
Yes, anytime, from "My account". Premium stays open until the end of the period you paid for.
The website and your account do. The app itself (program, tips, quizzes) is in French for now; English is next.
The library only contains public-domain works, encoded by me. The files you import stay private, for your personal use.
